Who can become a host on Nolex, and what can you rent out?

Anyone who owns something others might want to borrow can become a host on Nolex, from a private person with a single item to a company with a full catalog. Typical items are cameras, clothing and sports gear, and the listing is yours to describe: you add photos and a description, set the daily price, decide on a security deposit, choose whether to offer optional damage coverage, and say how many units are available. Every listing clearly shows its photos, daily price, security deposit and any damage coverage, so renters know what to expect. The host profile, called a business in the app, is free, and the details the verification asks for are shown during the process. The only requirement before your first listing goes live is a one-time verification (KYB) that usually takes a few minutes. After that you publish when you are ready and start receiving booking requests.

How do hosts manage bookings, payments and a team on Nolex?

Everything a host needs is managed from the host panel. Each booking shows its status and the amounts involved, and you can accept bookings and follow them through to the final payout. Payments arrive directly in your Stripe account through Stripe Connect, which you link once during setup: the rental amount is credited when a booking is confirmed and paid, and then paid out to your bank following Stripe's normal timing, while the security deposit stays held until the rental ends. You can invite teammates by email and give each one the owner or operator role. Both roles manage listings and bookings, but only owners can open the payments section and the Stripe Connect setup. Every team member signs in with a personal account, so it is always clear who replied to a customer or accepted a booking. Your host profile also has its own support queue, with the option to escalate difficult cases to Nolex support.

How and when do I get paid for my rentals?

Customer payments arrive through Stripe Connect, linked to your host profile during initial setup. Every time a booking is confirmed and paid, the rental amount (net of the security deposit, which stays held until the rental ends) is credited to your connected Stripe account, following Stripe's normal payout timing to your bank account. You don't have to handle invoices or manual payment requests — the whole flow, from booking to final payout, runs through the platform. You can check the status of every booking, including the amount received, directly from your host panel.

Can more than one person manage my host profile?

Yes. From your host profile you can invite teammates by email and assign them an owner or operator role: both can manage listings, bookings, and messages with customers, but only owners have access to the payments section and Stripe Connect setup. This lets you, for example, have an operator handle day-to-day requests while keeping control over payments limited to whoever opened the host profile. Every team member signs in with their own personal account, so it's always clear who replied to a message or accepted a booking.
